Philosophy

My philosphy for food and natural health is the same as it is for life—it should be whole and of good quality.

Whole foods are alive and vital. Foods that are whole, if grown with environmental and nutritional awareness, contain all of the enzymes, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients we require to be healthy. They are the most natural way to obtain optimal health. When we eat a variety of whole foods, we further increase our nutritional intake and our bodies can function as they’re meant to—with ease, efficiency and energy.

I believe, that to be healthy we need to reconnect to our food—understand how and when it is grown, make healthful purchasing decisions, prepare foods properly to maintain nutrition and health, and enjoy the benefits of food and health. Food is our nourishment. With it we influence how long we will live, and how we look, feel, act, and think. Every single thing we eat and drink affects us in some way. Moving toward a whole food diet is a simple, yet powerful, step toward true health.

Natural health to me, means allowing the body to be in its natural, healthy state. The body wants to be healthy and is always moving toward balance. If we take steps to help this initiative, allowing the body to heal and be healthy, we can experience optimal health. Healing usually requires attending to the mind and spirit as well as the body. Through a balanced, whole life, using natural health knowledge and support, we can live in whole health.
